Sulphate process rutile titanium dioxide, produced in Jiangxi, China — for coatings, plastics, masterbatch and paper.
Who we are
TIKON is an independent Chinese producer of sulphate process rutile titanium dioxide. Our plant in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province, combines a purpose-built rutile line with its own sulphuric acid production, water treatment and finished goods logistics on a single 27.87-hectare site.
The business has been developed over five decades and has operated under international ownership. In June 2026 TIKON was divested by Tronox and became an independent company, continuing with the same plant, the same technical team and the same product grades.
Products
Each grade is surface treated and finished for a defined family of end uses: two for coatings, one for plastics. All are titanium dioxide, Pigment White 6, CAS 13463-67-7.
Coatings
Exceptional dispersibility, high brightness and a clean tint tone across architectural, industrial and can coatings.
Coatings
Good opacity, easy wet-in and dispersion, high whiteness and good durability in solvent and water based systems.
Plastics
A bluish tint tone with excellent processability and powder handling for masterbatch, polyolefins and PVC.
The plant
Ilmenite arrives at one end of the site and finished pigment leaves at the other. Sulphuric acid, steam, process water and effluent treatment are all produced and handled on site — fourteen process areas working as one line.
On the site
Sulphuric acid, steam and process water are produced next to the pigment line rather than brought in.
