Jiangxi Tikon Titanium Products Co., Ltd. is a Chinese manufacturer of sulphate process rutile titanium dioxide pigment, based in Fuzhou, Jiangxi Province.
The company
The plant produces rutile pigment for the coatings, plastics, paper and other industrial sectors, supported by its own sulphuric acid production and a technical team that has run this process for over a decade.
In June 2026 the business was divested by Tronox and became an independent entity. The plant, the process and the people did not change — the ownership did.

History
Five decades on one site
The site has made chemicals since 1971 and titanium dioxide since 1992. The rutile line that runs today was built in stages from 2009 onwards.
- 1971The site begins as the Gandong Phosphate Fertilizer Plant.
- 1992A 2 kt/a anatase line starts trial production.
- 2004The business is acquired by Hong Kong Sansheng Group.
- 2006Anatase capacity expands from 8 to 20 kt/a.
- 2009The 40 kt/a rutile project starts.
- 2011The 40 kt/a rutile project is completed.
- 2015In March, the acquisition by Cristal is completed.
- 2017In September, the first phase of the TIKON expansion is completed.
- 2019In April, the acquisition by Tronox is completed.
- 2026In June, TIKON is divested by Tronox and becomes an independent company.
